Pupils meet with the caretaker or site manager to discuss their role in saving energy

Bramley Vale Primary School, Tuesday, 24 February 2026
30 points 8 pupils Communicator KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5

We discussed with our caretaker all the different ways we could help reduce our energy cost. We made a plan for going forward. The children really enjoyed being shown around the site and being shown how we can help reduce our consumption and energy.

Activity description

Your school Caretaker or Site Manager has an important job to play: making sure that everything in your school is working and running smoothly so that you and your teachers can focus on your learning.

They also have a great deal of responsibility when it comes to how much energy your school uses.  Use this resource to interview them and share with them how they could be helping to cut energy use in the school.
