Lighting: Turn off all lights before leaving for the holidays.

Computers and AV equipment:
- Computers, monitors, and laptops
- Projectors and smart boards
- Photocopiers, printers, and scanners

Servers, switches, and WiFi routers
Kitchen equipment:
- Consolidate and empty fridges and freezers, then defrost and unplug them.
- Turn off hot water urns.
- Turn off kitchen extraction fans.
Other electricals:
- Unplug chargers and adaptors that are not in use.
- Turn off TVs, stereos, and public address systems.
- Shut down and unplug any other electrical equipment that is not essential.
Specialized equipment:
- Turn off extraction fans and fume cupboards.
- Follow specific shutdown procedures for large appliances, such as draining water tanks in dishwashers or washing machines.
