As part of our new Climate Action Plan, the
Switch Off Fortnight campaign for 2025 is scheduled to run from
November 10th to November 23rd. We will be monitoring the saving of energy during this period to reduce waste and save money that can be better spent on our students so your support is essential.
What we want staff and students to do?
We want to encourage staff and students to turn off appliances AT THE WALL when leaving classrooms/offices, especially at the end of the school day, examples are below:
- Fans/air con units
- Laptop/phone chargers and adaptors
- Radios/digital clocks
- Lights (where applicable)
- Small appliances such as kettles, microwaves, toasters
- Whiteboards/projectors/TV’s/Speakers
- The computers are auto shut down so these do not need to be switched off. Catering computer, printers, server rooms and site office computers need to remain on.
