Eco Team Update: Taking Control of Our Energy Use!

Our Eco Team has been working hard to make our school more energy-efficient. Recently, they introduced a traffic light system to label light switches around the school:

  • Green switches – These can be turned off by students when the lights are not needed.
  • Amber switches – Check before turning off; these may be needed for safety or specific activities.
  • Red switches – These should stay on at all times.
This simple system empowers our pupils to take responsibility for reducing energy waste and helps us all work together to make our school more eco-friendly. Thank you for supporting our efforts to care for the environment!

Activity description

Pupils will identify all IT equipment, appliances and lighting throughout the school and indicate which can be turned off using a traffic light coding system.
