Pupils meet with the caretaker or site manager to discuss their role in saving energy

Leys Farm Junior School, Tuesday, 18 November 2025
30 points 10 pupils Communicator KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5

Eco Warriors met with our caretaker and discussed what the caretaker was going to do when the heating comes on - keep temperatures at around 18 degrees in each classroom. Children were told to remind their teachers about not having windows or doors open when the heating was on.

Activity description

Your school Caretaker or Site Manager has an important job to play: making sure that everything in your school is working and running smoothly so that you and your teachers can focus on your learning.

They also have a great deal of responsibility when it comes to how much energy your school uses.  Use this resource to interview them and share with them how they could be helping to cut energy use in the school.
