Eco lead met with the school cook. we talked about their role in food waste and how they had adapted the menu to be in line with the children's preferences. She talked about how she efficiently used the ovens and fridges etc and about food waste and recycling.

School kitchens are a major energy consumption area.
Pupils can interview the kitchen staff to find out how appliances are used in the kitchen and where energy might be saved.
