We all know that plastic can be an environmental disaster. Most educational materials focus on what happens to plastic after it has been used and discarded. However this is only one part of the problem. It takes a great deal of energy to produce plastic in the first place. This presentation and activities will encourage your pupils to think about what goes into plastic production and why every part of plastic, from the materials it is made from to its disposal is a problem for our planet.
