We have now fitted a new replacement hot water tap in our staff pantry. This uses less energy than a kettle according to our research:
"Boiling water taps (instant hot water taps) are generally more energy-efficient than traditional kettles, often using up to 50% less energy because they only heat the exact amount of water needed. While kettles waste energy heating excess water, insulated taps use minimal energy (approx. 10W) to maintain hot water, saving money for high-volume users"
Good news for our tea and coffee drinking support staff!
