Through a grant received by the Local Authority, we have upgraded our external windows of the main school building from single glazed to new double glazed units. This has enabled staff to regulate the temperature of their rooms better in in summer and winter. Previously windows were painted shut so could not be used to let air in during hot summer days. In the Winter they were cold and let in drafts. When we compared the heat lost using a special camera we could see the difference compared to the areas that had not been swapped. The first photo is the older windows - leaded which we can not change in the main hall. The second are the new classroom windows around the main building.
