Installed 7 new large planters around school to increase biodiversity and utilise rainwater from the building's roof area to reduce flooding. These have a water trough which then feeds the plants with rainwater. This also provides a small additional environment in the trough.
Children in Year 5 have been involved in this project to understand how flooding impacts our school environment and to look at strategies that could be used to prevent this. They worked with the Sustainable Development Leicester Team.
