Students went across the school site (pairs assigned different areas) and collected the data displayed on the thermostats. The results were discussed and the findings indicated that nearly every room was above 20 degrees with the science rooms being the warmest with temperatures such as 29.9 degrees. This was at the end of the school day on a day that was over cast and cool which means that going forward, the Eco-Warriors need to make a determined effort to actively monitor these thermostats and make recommendations for changes where necessary. The immediate solution was to create posters reminding students and adults on site of what the optimal temperature is and why its important that this is maintained in the learning environment.
