What you did

Today the energy sparks met and completed this activity. First we watched a video which illustrated how energy is made. The children discussed why using fossil fuel to make electricity  has a negative impact on global warming. Then we completed an interactive whiteboard activity and quiz which taught the children about the impact of global warming on our lives.

Activity description

This lesson will provide pupils with an overview of how electricity is produced, including fossil fuels and renewables, where our energy comes from and how our energy use affects the environment.

Three activities, including videos, infographics and worksheets, will provide a solid basis for whole classes or smaller groups for further energy research and projects.
