As the entire school becomes more energy efficient, classrooms are being upgraded to include individual heating/cooling systems, with a visual display that students can see and take part in its monitoring. As seen in the image below, the system is on a timer to shut down, but the display shows the temperature and time, upon arrival into the classroom.
Activity description
Investigate whether the school is too warm or too cold. If the school is too warm the heating should be turned down to 18C to save energy. Report temperature readings on the Pupil Dashboard or download our temperature recording sheet.
