The Eco Committee took a 'walking trip' to one of our canteens to meet with our Canteen Manager, Sally - seen in the picture smiling with a blue hat. Sally discussed our carbon reducing efforts through food waste recycling via the national company ReFood as well as a local Wimborne used cooking oil recycling company. The Eco Committee students were enthused to learn how food waste is reduced and recycled, which aligns with a recent campaign that the 2,000-strong student body have received on improving canteen culture, which includes reducing food waste.
