We looked at a printout of the energy used this time last year and then looked at the spikes in the data.  We sat with our Business Manager and asked why there were spikes.  We found out that during the time that our school did not have a care taker nobody had turned the heating off or even down during the school holidays and the heating had actually been left on full blast for a whole week!
