What you did

The inclusion unit followed the lesson plan provided on renewable energy sources and discussed advantages and disadvantages of different energy sources. The class also identified where gas and electricity comes from in this country and they completed the worksheets provided. These lessons are also delivered through the Oasis Geography programme. 
The Head of Humanities teacher Mr Taylor has provided the Ecoclub with access to the Geography curriculum and lessons on sustainability, energy sources and biodiversity to assist the Eco club further

Activity description

This lesson will provide pupils with an overview of how electricity is produced, including fossil fuels and renewables, where our gas comes from and how our energy use affects the environment.

Three activities, including videos, infographics and worksheets, will provide a solid basis for whole classes or smaller groups for further energy research and projects.
