Measure classroom temperatures

Oasis Academy - Immingham, Thursday, 20 June 2024
5 Detective KS1, KS2, KS3

What you did

An energy sparx workshop was completed with the EcoClub, as part of this audit the students were learnt a thermal camera to assess different areas of the school to establish which areas are warmest and why. The students also assessed areas where heat is escaping from the school and have made plans to rectify this

Activity description

Investigate whether the school is too warm or too cold. If the school is too warm the heating should be turned down to 18C to save energy.  Report temperature readings on the Pupil Dashboard or download our temperature recording sheet.

Put up our poster to remind people to keep your school at the right temperature.  Or design your own (we'd love to see it!).
