food waste

Queensway Infant and Junior Academies, Friday, 21 March 2025
5 Communicator KS1, KS2, KS3

What you did

As a school we are now separating our food waste from recyclables.
As the site manager I informed the whole about why we are separating food waste.
Law,
Food waste transferred to land fill produces Methane which in turns destroys the ozone layer and increases harmful levels of UV radiation.
Food is taken away and then incinerated to produce energy.
