With the start of the final term we have asked teachers to be more mindful of when they have their lights on in the classroom and to use natural light as often as they can.
When we did the energy audit in school, staff did say that they would like to keep the lights off, but often the glare from the light makes it harder for students to see the boards, so end up closing blinds and turning on lights.
We are looking at changing the position of where boards are in classrooms (where possible) to try and rectify this issue.
Please see the notes in our energy report to show these findings (which were also shared with the eco team)
