The Eco-Club & Gardening children watched the presentation and very much enjoyed the video about the strawberry's journey. Since the session, we have talked about that strawberry a lot - it really hit a chord with the children. The following week, the children asked to write a letter to King Charles to share with him ideas about how we might reduce our food waste in school - it seemed very appropriate after his recent birthday pledge about how we can all reduce food waste.

Tackling food waste in your school is a great way to cut your carbon emissions! This linked presentation provides an overview of why food waste is such a huge environmental problem. It can be run either as a one hour activity for an eco club or teachers can use the linked worksheets for 2-3 sessions of class work.
