James from Energy Sparks came into the school to hold an assembly to talk to all the children about Energy Sparks and the Antarctic 2041 project. He showed them a video and discussed why climate change is important and how we as a school can make a difference. He got all the children engaged throughout the assembly and got them all to pledge to make changes to their school day to have a positive impact on the school's energy usage and climate change.
Activity description
The schools that have the most success is cutting their energy use and reducing their carbon emissions are the ones where everybody knows about your energy goals.
There are lots of ways of spreading the word about Energy Sparks (see here for talking to the different groups of adults in your school) but to get pupils talking about tackling energy waste, the best way is always with an assembly.
