What can you switch off to save energy in the next holidays?

Bad News!  Your school's electricity use in the Summer half term 2023 holidays has increased by 120% compared to Summer half term 2022. Between Saturday 27 May 2023 and Sunday 4 Jun 2023 you used 2,600 kWh at a cost of £400. This is an increase of 1,400 kWh compared to the same period in the holidays last year and released an extra 100 kg CO2.

There is a large variation in seasonal overnight electricity usage from 7.9 kW in the winter to 1.7 kW in the summer. This suggests electric heating is left running overnight during the winter or the school has inefficient security or flood lights. Change electric heater settings and improve lighting efficiency to save £4,900 annually.
