Moving forward to Friday, 21st July, we will be taking actions to improve the efficiency of our freezers. It has been identified that freezers with ice build-up operate inefficiently, leading to unnecessary energy consumption.
Firstly, we will carry out a detailed examination of all our freezers to determine if any have issues with their door seals, which are often the cause of ice build-up. If it is found that poor seals are contributing to the quick accumulation of ice, we will take immediate measures to replace these seals.
Secondly, in case we find that the ice has been building up gradually over a long period, we will schedule a time for defrosting the freezers. This defrosting process will be strategically timed just before the holiday, making it an efficient course of action. By doing this, we can leave the freezers turned off for the duration of the holiday, further saving energy.
These proactive measures will not only ensure the efficiency of our appliances but also contribute to our overall goal of creating an energy-conscious school environment.
