Recent changes in your energy usage

Bad News!  Your school's electricity use in the Spring half term 2025 holidays has increased by 20% compared to Spring half term 2024. Between Saturday 15 Feb 2025 and Sunday 23 Feb 2025 you used 1,800 kWh at a cost of £280. This is an increase of 310 kWh compared to the same period in the holidays last year and released an extra 11 kg CO2.

Gas use in the Spring half term 2025 holidays has increased by 64% compared to Spring half term 2024. 

Between Saturday 15 Feb 2025 and Sunday 23 Feb 2025 you used 17,000 kWh of gas at a cost of £520. Adjusting for changes in outside temperature, this is still an increase of 6,800 kWh and 1,200 kg CO2. Ask the school site manager to check the heating controls to reduce gas use during the school holidays.

Your electricity data is out of date. Energy Sparks is working with your energy contract manager and energy supplier to fix this problem

There is a large variation in seasonal overnight electricity usage from 7.1 kW in the winter to 3.6 kW in the summer. This suggests electric heating is left running overnight during the winter or the school has inefficient security or flood lights. Change electric heater settings and improve lighting efficiency to save £1,300 annually.
