Label lights and appliances to show which should be left on or turned off

Moncreiffe Primary School, Friday, 03 February 2023
5 Change-maker KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5

What you did

The group went round each classroom to stick traffic light stickers on the lights, smartboards and laptops and also to explain to the classes what these represent and when we should be switching them off. Reviewing the spot check recording sheet showed a mixed result of things being switched off so we will continue to spot check rooms to see if the coloured stickers make a positive difference.

Activity description

Pupils will identify all IT equipment, appliances and lighting throughout the school and indicate which can be turned off using a traffic light coding system.
