Earth Day Assembly led by the Eco Team

St Mary's Primary School, Timsbury, Monday, 22 April 2024
5 points 10 pupils Change-maker KS1, KS2, KS3

The Eco Team led a whole school assembly on Earth Day to raise awareness of plastics and the impact they have on the environment.  They showed the children different ways they could reduce their plastic usage such as by reusing and recycling plastic bottles, using items made from bamboo rather than plastic and thinking of plastic free alternatives such as bees wax wrappers for food and cloth shopping bags.
