Label lights and appliances to show which should be left on or turned off

St Mawes Primary School, Wednesday, 02 April 2025
5 points 4 pupils Change-maker KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5

Our Eco representatives checked every room in school to idenitify which switches could be turned off when not in use. We labelled switches that could be turned off as green and those that needed to be left on as red.
We then ensured they were turned off when not in use, at the end of the day and for the holiday break.

Activity description

Pupils will identify all IT equipment, appliances and lighting throughout the school and indicate which can be turned off using a traffic light coding system.
