Measure classroom temperatures

St Saviours Junior Church School, Wednesday, 05 December 2018
5 Detective KS1, KS2

What you did

The pupils found that temperatures across the school ranged from 18-24C, with the temperatures higher in the new building.  We will consider whether we can reduce  the heating temperatures in the new building to save energy.

Activity description

Pupils will find out whether the school is too warm or too cold. If the school is too warm the heating could be turned down to save energy.

Put up a poster to remind people to keep your school at the right temperature.  Or design your own (we'd love to see it!)

Report temperature readings on the Pupil Dashboard or download our temperature recording sheet.
