Watch out - the heating or hot water is running during the current school holidays! Up to Thursday 20 Feb 2025 the school used 1,200 kWh of gas during this holiday, which has cost £36 and generated 220 kg CO2. Make sure both your heating and hot water are switched off to prevent further waste.

If you choose to leave your heating and/or hot water running, by the end of the holidays you will have used 1,500 kWh, costing £46 and generating 280 kg CO2.

Gas use in the Spring half term 2025 holidays has increased by 59% compared to Spring half term 2024. 

Between Saturday 15 Feb 2025 and Thursday 20 Feb 2025 you used 1,200 kWh of gas at a cost of £36. Adjusting for changes in outside temperature, this is still an increase of 440 kWh and 81 kg CO2. Ask the school site manager to check the heating controls to reduce gas use during the school holidays.
