Gas use in the Easter 2026 holidays has increased by 10% compared to Easter 2025.

Between Saturday 28 Mar 2026 and Sunday 12 Apr 2026 you used 2,700 kWh of gas at a cost of £91. Adjusting for changes in outside temperature, this is still an increase of 250 kWh and 45 kg CO2. Ask the school site manager to check the heating controls to reduce gas use during the school holidays.

There is a large variation in your school's seasonal overnight electricity usage from 2.3 kW in the winter to 1.3 kW in the summer. This suggests heating is left running overnight during the winter. This can either be electric heating, or other types of heating that requires electricity for pumps or fans. Change heating settings to save £370 annually.
