Watch out - the heating or hot water is running during the current school holidays! Up to Saturday 19 Apr 2025 the school used 6,700 kWh of gas during this holiday, which has cost £370 and generated 1,200 kg CO2. Make sure both your heating and hot water are switched off to prevent further waste.

If you choose to leave your heating and/or hot water running, by the end of the holidays you will have used 8,000 kWh, costing £440 and generating 1,500 kg CO2.

Gas use in the Easter 2025 holidays has increased by 150% compared to Easter 2024. 

Between Saturday 5 Apr 2025 and Saturday 19 Apr 2025 you used 6,700 kWh of gas at a cost of £370. Adjusting for changes in outside temperature, this is still an increase of 3,900 kWh and 720 kg CO2. Ask the school site manager to check the heating controls to reduce gas use during the school holidays.
