Watch out - the heating or hot water is running during the current school holidays! Up to Thursday 20 Feb 2025 the school used 12,000 kWh of gas during this holiday, which has cost £660 and generated 2,300 kg CO2. Make sure both your heating and hot water are switched off to prevent further waste.

If you choose to leave your heating and/or hot water running, by the end of the holidays you will have used 18,000 kWh, costing £930 and generating 3,200 kg CO2.

Gas use in the Spring half term 2025 holidays has increased by 81% compared to Spring half term 2024. 

Between Saturday 15 Feb 2025 and Thursday 20 Feb 2025 you used 12,000 kWh of gas at a cost of £660. Adjusting for changes in outside temperature, this is still an increase of 5,600 kWh and 1,000 kg CO2. Ask the school site manager to check the heating controls to reduce gas use during the school holidays.
