Reminders

Your school has four gas meters and we are displaying data for the two meters which serve the boiler room and science block. There is an issue with the Main intake gas meter (MPR 56258000) which has been raised with your supplier and the gas meter which serves the main kitchen (MPR 56259204) isn't capable of sharing data with Energy Sparks. This meter needs to be upgraded. We will let you know once we start to receive more gas data. In the meantime, please keep in mind that your account doesn't show the school's total gas usage yet.

Gas use in the Summer half term 2025 holidays has increased by 32% compared to Summer half term 2024.

Between Saturday 24 May 2025 and Sunday 1 Jun 2025 you used 3,200 kWh of gas at a cost of £150. Adjusting for changes in outside temperature, this is still an increase of 770 kWh and 140 kg CO2. Ask the school site manager to check the heating controls to reduce gas use during the school holidays.

There is a large variation in seasonal overnight electricity usage from 19 kW in the winter to 12 kW in the summer. This suggests electric heating is left running overnight during the winter or the school has inefficient security or flood lights. Change electric heater settings and improve lighting efficiency to save £3,700 annually.
