Review progress

Watch out! Up to Thursday 20 Feb 2025 the school used 980 kWh of electricity during this holiday, which has cost £230 and generated 140 kg CO2. Make sure lights and electrical equipment are switched off to prevent further waste.

If you choose to leave electrical equipment running, by the end of the holidays you will have used 1,400 kWh, costing £330 and generating 210 kg CO2.

There is a large variation in seasonal overnight electricity usage from 17 kW in the winter to 5.3 kW in the summer. This suggests electric heating is left running overnight during the winter or the school has inefficient security or flood lights. Change electric heater settings and improve lighting efficiency to save £1,500 annually.
