Reminders

Please note that your school has used a biomass boiler in the past and we are unable to display this energy usage on Energy Sparks. We are displaying the data for the school's two gas meters. The gas is a back-up if the biomass boiler isn't working or is running low on pellets. The school switches off the biomass boiler at the end of April and the school uses the mains gas supply to heat the school's hot water during the warmer months as it is more efficient than using the biomass boiler.

Between Thursday 2 Apr 2026 and Sunday 19 Apr 2026 you used 39,000 kWh of gas at a cost of £2,000. Adjusting for changes in outside temperature, this is still an increase of 9,000 kWh and 1,600 kg CO2. Ask the school site manager to check the heating controls to reduce gas use during the school holidays.

Last weekend 2,200 kWh of gas was used costing £110. Switch off the heating at the weekend to save energy!
