Reminders

Please note that your school uses a biomass boiler and we are unable to display this energy usage on Energy Sparks. We are displaying the data for the school's two gas meters. The gas is a back-up if the biomass boiler isn't working or is running low on pellets. The school switches off the biomass boiler at the end of April and the school uses the mains gas supply to heat the school's hot water during the warmer months as it is more efficient than using the biomass boiler. Please note that your gas data has stopped for the Sixth Form gas meter on 31/08/24 and we are working with your supplier to restore access to the data.

Watch out - the heating or hot water is running during the current school holidays! Up to Tuesday 18 Feb 2025 the school used 8,500 kWh of gas during this holiday, which has cost £430 and generated 1,600 kg CO2. Make sure both your heating and hot water are switched off to prevent further waste.

If you choose to leave your heating and/or hot water running, by the end of the holidays you will have used 21,000 kWh, costing £1,100 and generating 3,800 kg CO2.

Find out more

Last year you used 12,000 kWh of gas and 5,700 kWh of electricity in the Spring half term 2024 holidays. Turn off your heating, hot water and electrical appliances to save around £1,800 this year.
