Watch out - the heating or hot water is running during the current school holidays! Up to Wednesday 23 Apr 2025 the school used 1,500 kWh of gas during this holiday, which has cost £82 and generated 270 kg CO2. Make sure both your heating and hot water are switched off to prevent further waste.

If you choose to leave your heating and/or hot water running, by the end of the holidays you will have used 1,900 kWh, costing £110 and generating 350 kg CO2.

Gas use in the Easter 2025 holidays has increased by 110% compared to Easter 2024. 

Between Saturday 12 Apr 2025 and Wednesday 23 Apr 2025 you used 1,500 kWh of gas at a cost of £82. Adjusting for changes in outside temperature, this is still an increase of 770 kWh and 140 kg CO2. Ask the school site manager to check the heating controls to reduce gas use during the school holidays.
